About the kimonos of WARABE KYOTO

Kimono represents one of the embodiment of Japanese culture.

Kimono is originally simple, made from a single piece of cloth simply sowed, easy to wear and to take off.
Moreover, it was made as a tool to help the people wearing it to appear more elegant as the kimono naturally leads to behave and stand more elegantly than usual.

However, throughout time, the kimono became a revered part of Japanese culture and ended up becoming a luxury item that only the rich could afford to wear as it became a lot harder to tie and arrange.

Camyspop is willing to go back to the roots of kimono and aims to re-establish a base of harmony with nature and a simple aesthetic.

Aiming for the simplicity of the kimono, we chose to put aside everything that is not necessary and make it affordable to go back to the roots of the simple beauty of kimono culture, hoping to bring back the “waku waku” (amusement) feeling while wearing a kimono.
